AREAS OF FOCUS

Adult clients that have depression, anxiety and crisis is the population that I feel comfortable helping with their recovery.  Many adults have problems entering different stages of life with the problems that exist in each stage.  Counseling is often the key to finding peace and happiness.  I have worked with children of all ages and since I’m a school psychologist have a deep understanding of the problems that exist for students and their families.

MY APPROACH & STORY

I have many honors in Oklahoma, which express my dedication and my profession.  I was the only counselor in Oklahoma to be elected to the Governing Council for the American Counseling Association with membership of over 56,000 counselors.  I have served on the LPC board, Executive Director for the Oklahoma Counseling Association and the sub-division of the Oklahoma Mental Health Association.  I have been the Director for the Oklahoma City Public Schools Counselors and have done keynote speaking while working for the Oklahoma Health Department.

My faith has given me direction in helping myself and others.  My own loss of my husband dying in a car wreck has given me deep understanding of the grief process.  I hope that you will honor me with your problems by developing a trusting relationship between counselor and client.
