I have experience working with the following concerns: anxiety, depression, anger, grief, trauma responses, family conflict, stress management, relationship issues, early adulthood challenges, spirituality, attachment, and all types of abuse.
My Story
My name is Lindsey Braney and I am a candidate here at New Path 12:2. I received my bachelor’s degree in psychology from George Fox University in 2014. I then attended Western Seminary in Portland, Oregon, graduating in 2019 with a Masters in Counseling and emphasis in Children and Adolescents. I have additional training and experience in play therapy modalities, including non-directive, Adlerian, and CBT play therapy. In my free time I love spending time with my husband, friends, and cat, being
outside, creating artsy things, and testing out new restaurants.
My Approach
I hold a faith-based worldview and am willing to incorporate elements into the counseling process if so desired. My history includes working as a youth pastor, after-school program teacher, as well as helping kids and teens through the pandemic.
I believe that we were all designed to live whole, healthy, connected lives and that many things can go wrong to prevent that from happening. I will help clients identify and utilize their current strengths, while also teaching new information and skills that can be incorporated into their daily lives.
I am now EMDR informed and can provide EMDR services to help clients process through trauma. This can be done in person or through telehealth.
My approach is CBT, DBT, person-centered, solution focused, and trauma-informed.
I am only able to take cash pay clients at this time.
