AREAS OF FOCUS

Providing unconditional support, motivation, and encouragement in areas of concern for the Elderly, Adults, Adolescents, Children, and their Families. Helping clients reach their personal goals with issues of Communication, Life Skills, Self Worth, Anxiety, Depression, and Grief.

 

MY APPROACH

I believe in creating a safe and nonjudgmental atmosphere. My desire is to collaboratively aid clients in finding a balanced life, promote personal growth, and help clients reach personal goals. I plan to utilize a Christ-centered perspective in the counseling process. With the use of clear honest communication my goal is to help enhance problem-solving and coping skills. These skills can help to improve mindfulness and bring about a better understanding of ourselves and others. My overall objective is to combine empathy, communication, and creativity to help clients find their purpose and plan for a healthy, happy, and hopeful life.

MY STORY

I earned my Masters of Education in Guidance and Counseling, with honors, at the University of Central Oklahoma and have completed my course work for LPC Candidacy. I am currently operating under supervision as a Licensed Professional Counselor Candidate.

I received my Bachelors of Science in Communication Consultancy from Oklahoma State University. I have a minor in Graphic Design and have worked as a Graphic Designer using art in the communication process. I have also worked as an art educator for over a decade, certified to teach K-12 art, speech, drama, and debate. I have completed TBRI 101 and have experience as a counseling intern at a rehabilitation facility, private practice, and schools.
